B+/B – Standard and Poor’s latest Rating for Albania

1 February 2020

Standard & Poor’s affirmed its ‘B+/B’ long- and short-term sovereign credit ratings on Albania as well as a stable outlook. (see below rating scale)

“The stable outlook reflects our view that Albania’s economy will expand by just under 4% over the next years; fiscal deficits will remain limited, and gradually narrowing current account deficits will predominantly be covered by solid foreign direct investment (FDI) inflows over the next three to four years,” S&P says.

The emphasis are placed at ability for the Government to strengthen their institutional reform, reduce the impact of the deficit created by the PPP’s and ability to attract foreign investments in Albania.

The Chamber offers support for any international investor by providing industry and country information and statistics as well as networking and potential partnerships.
